REBA MASTERSON Obituary

MASTERSON Reba Annabelle Reynolds Masterson, 93, of Spring Hill, KS, passed away peacefully September 30, 2010, at Olathe Medical Center. Graveside Service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, KS. Visitation will be from 1 - 2:00 p.m. before the graveside, at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S Webster, Spring Hill, KS, 913-592-2244. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to www.brucefuneralhome.com. Reba Annabelle Reynolds was born April 4, 1917, to Walter and Edna (Moxley) Reynolds in Miami, OK. She graduated from Fairland High School in 1936. May 4, 1941, she was united in marriage to Charles Bertly Masterson. They were parents of two sons. During her marriage she was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful employee. She was a member of First Christian Church in Miami, OK. In 1953 they moved their family to Spring Hill, KS, where she lived until last year. She resided at Good Samaritan Home in Olathe, KS. She was employed at First National Bank in Olathe, in 1954 to her retirement from Bank Line in 1999 at age 82. In her retirement she spent hours making scrap books from clippings out of the Spring Hill New Era that she had saved since moving to Spring Hill. The Historical Society of Spring Hill honored her in 2009, for her tireless efforts, as the Spring Hill Citizen of the year. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Eastern Star. Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband Bertly in 2007, parents, and five brothers, Gilbert, Tom, John, Ray and Ed Reynolds. She is survived by her sons, Jerry William Masterson (Nell) of Spring Hill and Keith Emanuel Masterson (Julie) of Olathe; four grandchildren, Shelley Sherman (Scott), Lisa Wilkerson (Mark), Stacie Masterson and Rob Masterson (Trish); seven great grandchildren, Jordan, Jake, Tanner, Addison, Morgan, Kate and Preston; and one brother Jack Reynolds (Nita) of Springfield, MO; and Ed's wife Ruth Reynolds of Dallas, TX.
