In his early years, Bob was an avid pool player; he loved to hunt dove, quail and pheasant. He loved Western novels and Western movies. He was also a Nascar and Chiefs Football fan. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bob was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Frank and Opal Spruk. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Spruk of the home; three children, Donna (Rex) Covell, Shawnee, KS, Pamela (Don) Hart, KCK, and Robert Spruk II (Linda Egner), Baldwin City, KS; a brother, Terry (Linda) Spruk, Merriam, KS; a sister, Ann (Terry) Tyrer, Adrian, MO; six grandchildren, Elissa Beatty, Halen & Aaron Covell, all of Shawnee, Jake Beatty, KCK, Jamie Spruk, Bonner Springs, KS, Ashley Spruk, Gardner, KS; one great-granddaughter, Rylee Marie Kerr, Shawnee; KS; five stepgrandchildren; one stepgreatgranddaughter; and many who called him their "PaPa." Bob fought a 13month battle against cancer and is now enjoying eternal rest "High on that Mountain." He will be truly missed by his family, friends and relatives. Dear Mary and family,

I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing; but from what mom has been telling me its been a rough few months for you all. I have kept you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I keep remembering all of the fun times we had at the lake and watching him ski with one foot. He's the only person i have ever known to do that. We had alot of fun in those days.

Again, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
