It is a year later and Roy's presence can still be felt by all of us. His sweetness and his darling laugh linger in my ears when family is around.
He's probably got grapes by now and will be making some good wine. Here's to you, Roy!

John and I loved Roy an awful lot - so did my mom. She met him at Laura and Jason's high school graduation many years ago and then again at their wedding. They bonded over the subject of wine making. They both loved making it.
Roy was always smiling, with a wonderful chuckle and he loved his family so much. We were honored to be at Maxine and Roy's 50th wedding anniversary and the love shared was not to be ignored or missed. As john and I celebrate our 30th anniversary together this month, we hope we will be fortunate enough to be together that long.
He will be sorely missed by us - especially at the family functions, but what lovely and wonderful things we'll have to share about him. We raise a glass to you, Roy. May the grapes always be sweet!
Love - Nancy & John
