A little known fact...she had a twin who passed away around birth. People had a first and middle name but because Ruby was a twin she had no middle name. Her twin was Ruth.

I was a student of Mrs. Wiley at Katherine Carpenter school in 1966-67. I remember her fondly with her co- team teachers Mrs. Stewart and Mrs Murphy. I also remember our school janitor Mr. Casaert as having a big crush on her. He always smiled brightly around her. We all loved her. I'm sorry I missed her memorial service today. Those were some great days to be a kid, and we got a quality education by wonderful teachers like Mrs. Wiley who cared about us and poured their lives into us. I'm glad she lived a long and vibrant life. I look forward to seeing her again in the kingdom of heaven.

Ruby Wiley was my 6th grade teacher in 1962 at McCoy elementary school in Kansas City, Missouri. She was both stern and sweet with a great knack for getting the day's lesson across to each student; as she commanded attention in the classroom. She was a natural educator and a person I will never forget

I will always remember (on a school snow day) when Ruby brought over cookie dough for my two daughters to roll out, cut and bake. It entertained them for hours! I´ve never had better neighbors than Tom and Ruby! Miss you so. "We´ll have to do lunch soon".
