Although our ideologies were often far apart, I had great respect for my uncle's convictions and passion for politics and views of the world. In turn, I also knew that he afforded me the same respect.

His sudden passing seems almost unreal and I continue to find myself wanting to forward an e-mail on to him that I know would get him fired up or give him a chuckle.

He was a beloved man and I am comforted that he is in good company with his parents and keeping a watchful eye over his family and friends.

To a fine uncle and gentleman, here's to you, Tony!

I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and kind words. I am still receiving cards and phone calls remembering my Dad. I am in awe over the support that my Dad has received. He was a kind man that never complained no matter how bad things could be. He always had a smile or a great laugh to share. I miss receiving a phone call, a e-mail (even the political ones) and especially seeing him at family get togethers or just out and about. My Dad loved his family. He loved us kids and all of his family.... grandkids, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters. I wonder why things happen and why this had to happen. I know that my Dad is watching out for us all and I know he feels so honored that so many cared. It is times likes this that make us realize that life is short. We need to appreciate life and live the best life that we possibly can.

I love you all and thank you for loving my Dad!

Sincerely,

Amy

Mr. Debey (Tony)was a wonderful man. He always treated me as one of the family. I have several fond memories, but two stick out above the rest. I remember hearing stories of his youth from his brother Edward. He always told hunting stories and antics they got into. Another is how fast he was at shooting a shotgun. We were hunting in Phillipsburg and we were in a line for pheasants. One got up and before I could blink Mr. Debey had shot the bird and pump his gun ready for the next bird. I will miss him so very much. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Shaun.
