Paul Strieder Obituary

Ravenna resident, 88

RAVENNA - Paul Strieder, 88, of Ravenna died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna.

Wake services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Buffalo County to Bruno and Tracy (Keaschall) Strieder.

He married Bonnie Feldmayer.

Survivors include his wife; stepson, Alan Feldmayer of Eugene, Ore.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Bruno and Agnes Strieder of Ravenna; and sister, Rosemary McKeon of Ravenna.

He was educated at District 70 and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1942.

He served in the U.S. Army. He served in Belgium and Germany.

He and Bonnie made their home on a farm south of Ravenna.

Paul was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved his motorcycle and dogs.

He was preceded in death by his stepson, Bill Feldmayer; stepdaughter, Jean Blumenthal; and brother, Leo Strieder.
