I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs Meade. I know she touched many during her life in Irvine. I remember my Grandmother speaking of her so frequently. May peace be with you.

Dearest Sandy, Mike & Perry,
She was my mentor, my Mom #2, and my friend as you know. When I got married she said, "Thank you for bringing us a nice son". I learned so much from her, things too numerous to list. From Brownie Scout days in the 50s, we were real friends and I will not forget her. Vern and I miss her already!!!!

Esther was one of "my" girls in the Philathea Class. I shall always remember her for her observations during Bible study and for her generous, loving nature. One day I complimented a dish she had made. She offered her recipe and took me to her kitchen. She pulled out a drawer, neatly organized with little cards and showed me her collection of cook books. We shared loving to read recipes to explore new tastes. Both of us fought calories too. I shall miss her.
