Mama B was always generous, loving, and kind. Since she was practically part of our extended family, we saw her often. But one time when I was in elementary school (across the street from her house) we had a bomb threat and everyone was outside shivering in the cold. She came out with a huge pile of sweaters and coats and put them on everybody. On top of that kind of love she made the best cream cheese sandwiches, and amazing onion gravy. Many, many people loved her (including me).

My "Other Mother" will be sorely missed, but I know I haven't "lost" her. We know exactly where she is and who she's with! I only hope and pray that we, as daughters, can carry on in the legacy of faith, hope, and service she taught us. She was always there to dry our tears, rejoice in our victories, and love us. She gave us food, clothes, and taught us to be better wives and mothers. She cherished our children as her own and taught them faith and values with so much love! Her legacy will last through the generations as we strive to pass it on from mother to daughter. And some day we'll have a GREAT reunion and an eternity to love and laugh together around a full cookie jar and coffee pot!

I would like to express my sympathy to her family. I will miss her greatly because she was practically another Grandmother to me. She was closer to me in many ways than my biological grandparents because she was there for me, whereas they all lived three hours away from us. Her grace and Christian example will always be stamped in my heart and help to guide my feet. One such lesson is to always keep cookies in my cookie jar for whomever may drop in for a chat. Her faithful service to the King has set a high standard for us to uphold. God bless you all.
