Mark Meinze Obituary

RICHMOND - Mark Alan Meinze, 53, of Caleast Road, Richmond, passed away Tues., Sept. 28, 2004. He was a native of Boone County and was born April 21, 1951 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert K. (Angeline Chapman) Meinze. Mark was a graduate of Boone County High School and the University of Kentucky. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era, an avid outdoorsman, and an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. He was an employee of the Lexington Herald-Leader for 28 years. He was survived by wife, Donna Rose Meinze , Richmond, twin brother, Jon Meinze, Louisville, brother, Michael Meinze, Louisville, and two nieces, Jillian Meinze and Melissa Jones, both of Louisville. Memorial services will be conducted Sun., Oct. 10, 2004 at 3 pm at the First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Richmond, with Reverend Eugene Strange officiating. Visitation will be from 2:15 pm until service time Sun., Oct. 10, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Richmond. Turpin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family wishes no flowers be sent, but donations can be sent to Habitat for Humanity, 116 West Main Street, Richmond, KY, 40475. Condolences can be sent by visiting: www.turpinfuneralhome.com
