Vival Mattocks Obituary

MATTOCKS Vival Hall, 83, she was the widow of George W. Mattocks, Jr., and beloved mother and grandmother, died Sat., Feb. 18, 2006. Born in Beattyville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Gladys Phillips Hall. She retired after almost 60 years of being a hairdresser. She was a member of Southland Christian Church where she was a member of KITS. She participated in Warm Up America Knitting Group, water aerobics at Lexington Athletic Club and was an avid UK Basketball fan. Survivors include four daughters, Vickie (Chet) Spencer, Jackie (Cro) Town, Tish Tegeler and Pandy (David) Comstock; a brother Curtis Hall; two sisters, Juanita Cunningham and Joan Rushbrooke; She loved all her nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and had a special bond with Heather. Services will be 1:30 pm Wed. at W.R. Milward-Southland with Chaplain Yoshiya Togami officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 4-8 pm Tue and 12:30 pm Wed until services.
