I have known Wayne all my life. He was a good friend to my entire family. I worked with him at Scott County Middle School and my daughter, Sara Wood, had the honor of playing on the 1995 Girls State Championship Team coached by him.
I have lots of memories of Wayne and of course, "talked" to him hundreds of times. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger.
To his entire family, I am so sorry for your loss. Jennifer, you truly were his special angel! I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. Wayne, may God bless you and may you truly rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I went to High School and to College with Wayne and kept up with his many accomplishments with Women's basketball at Scott Co. He will surely be missed.

I met Wayne when I started coming to G-town to visit my son at college and always stayed at the Winner's Circle. This was 1995. I moved here in 2000 and would go out late night or early a.m. and we'd sit and talk for hours. I'm so sorry that I didn't even know he was sicker than usual. I'll miss him!
