Barbara Ann Karsner Richardson, 80, widow of James Stilmon "Jimmy" Richardson, passed away following a long illness on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Magnolia Springs Senior Living in Lexington. She was born on March 15, 1945, in Franklin County, Kentucky to Grover Thomas Karsner and Elizabeth Hawkins Karsner. Barbara was a 1963 graduate of Scott County High School. She was a deputy clerk in the Scott County Clerk's Office in the 1970's, then devoted her time to caring for her children, parents, grandchildren and others throughout her life. She spent many years helping on the family farm. She attended St. Francis Catholic Church and Corinth Christian Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Richardson; her parents, Grover and Elizabeth Karsner, and her brother, Ralph Karsner. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, James Thomas Richardson, daughter, Leah Karsner Richardson Stubbs, son-in law, Steven Lee Stubbs, grandchildren, James Stilmon Richardson II, Allison Elizabeth Stubbs, Griffin Lee Stubbs, and Karsen Joseph Stubbs; nephew, Chad (Lacee) Karsner, great-nephew, Chace Karsner, great-niece, Megan Karsner, and special friend and caregiver, Mary Jo McFarland.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Tucker, Yocum, and Wilson Funeral Home, with Minister Paul Waddelow officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm Friday until the time of the service. Private graveside services will be held at Masonic Cemetery, Stamping Ground.
