Willliam Goggin Obituary

DANVILLE - William B. "Billy" Goggin, 81, died Sun, Sept 23, 2012. Born April 21, 1931 in Danville, he was a lifelong farmer and member of The Presbyterian Church. He was a director and past president of the Boyle County Farm Bureau, the Central Kentucky Angus Association and the Kentucky Angus Association. Billy was also a long time director of the Kentucky Cattlemen's Association and the National Cattlemen's Association. A Boyle County 4-H Leader for many years, he was also active on the Boyle County Fair Board and the Boyle County Extension Council. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Lou Goggin; three daughters, Debra Goggin Fisher, Donna G. Tamme and Ruth (Eddie) Tamme and two sons, Allen (Brenda) Goggin and Joe (Teresa) Goggin, a brother, Walter T. Goggin, all of Danville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday at The Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetary. Memorial donations are suggested to the Danville-Boyle Co. Humane Society, The Presbyterian Church, the Central Kentucky Angus Memorial Fund or Freear's Hope.
