Scott Ditlevson Obituary

Scott Edward Ditlevson July 27, 1961 – July 28, 2025. Scott departed peacefully on July 28, 2025 at the age of 64 at St. Marys hospital surrounded by family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born on July 27, 1961 in Blooming Prairie, MN, Scott was the cherished Son of Lynwood and Donna Ditlevson. He spent his early years in Blooming Prairie, MN, where he developed a lifelong passion for sports. In school he was a wrestler but in his later years was known for his love of all sports especially the MN Vikings. Scott was known for his sense of humor, taste in music, and love of animals. Scott and Diane had many cats and dogs over the years but most recently he could be seen spoiling Lucy their 6 year old Cockapoo. He dedicated his life to the hospitality industry in various management positions. Scott enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and celebrities at the various hotels that he worked at. He was also proud to share his hotel discounts with friends and family. He found immense joy in spending time with his wife Diane. They enjoyed going out for dinner on Fridays, golfing, spending time at the lake in Wisconsin, and having a friendly rivalry during the NFL season when the Vikings played the Green Bay Packers. Scott looked forward to spending time with his three children and grandchildren. Scott is survived by his beloved wife Diane Ditlevson, children Chad (Tram) Ditlevson, Kassandra (Ryan) Wilkening, Cory Ditlevson, Step-Daughter Cami (Jesse) McMahon, and Step-son Chad Grube; grandchildren Emmalyn Ditlevson, Abigail Thalacker, Jacob Thalacker; siblings Deb (Vince) Krell, Dan (Lydia) Ditlevson, Rick (Karen) Ditlevson, Shelly (Scott) Noble, Lori (Tim) Pirkl; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lynwood and Donna Ditlevson, and his brother Jeff Ditlevson. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Community Celebration Church 27337 County Hwy 34, Kasson, MN 55944. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am to 11am. Rest in peace, dear Scott. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
