Mary Gonzales Obituary

Born on August 20, 1931 to Felipa Torrez and Alberto Adames in Luling, Texas passed away January 7, 2024 surrounded by her family. Mary came to California in 1945, arriving at the California Orchard Company with her mom and siblings. There she met and married Louis Mike Gonzales. Mary worked for Basic Vegetable Products for 39 years. After her retirement Mary enjoyed dedicating her time to her always beautiful garden. Something beautiful was always blooming in her yard. She could plant a stick and it grew to give beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, always listening to music. Her physical presence will be forever missed but she will forever live in the hearts of those that loved her.
She is survived by her children: Cecilia (Ramiro) Gomez, Mike Gonzales, Jess (Linda), Virginia (Michael) Romero and Angela (Joe) Camarena; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. As well as her "Forever Special Bonus Granddaughter," Kamilah; brother Terry; and sisters Margaret and Liz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Mike Gonzales; son, Joe Gonzales; brother, Joe Adames; mother Felipa Torrez; sisters, Antonia Regalado, Innocencia Camacho and Frances Sanchez; and her "bonus daughter," Edelia Duran. Services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6-8pm at Eddington Funeral Home, 429 Bassett St. in King City, CA. Rosary (9am) and mass (10am) will be held on January 19, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Church in King City, CA. Burial to follow.
