Gail,Ted & Allison
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you,I only wish I knew what to say. I have seen through the years what a close family you all were and I know that Adam was a very special person. God knows what life holds for all of us and we know he has a reason for all things.

Adam has touched so many lives in the time he was here and is still touching people everywhere you go. I pray that God will put his loving arms around all of you and help you get through these days ahead.

Gail, I know from a mothers point that you will never be the same person because a part of you is gone. I know you and Adam were very close and always cherish the memories you have in your heart.

I want you all to know that I will always be here if you ever need me or if you need someone just to listen.

May God Bless You All,
Dell

Ted and Gail,
I'm not a parent but I have a younger brother who I look at as my own sometimes. I will never tell you that I know how you feel because I don't. I know that my heart is breaking even after a month of Adam being taken from us. I trusted Christ when I was little and I grow closer to him everyday. But I question God's reason for this from time to time. I know that God has a bigger plan for Adam and he needed him to finish it but the thought still remains that there could've been more for him to do on earth.

After sitting in the church that Tuesday night I knew that Adam was never going to be Forgotten. He was a brave person and never let the fear of losing his life come in between him and the Fire Department. I push my brother to be the best fireman he can be because of Adam. I'm praying for you and your family in this time.

Mr. Ted,
When I was in line at the visitation you hugged a girl that was in front of me named Courtney Smith. I graduated high school with her and when you told her that Adam was in heaven building your house for you I lost it. Knowing that Adam was great with his hands and knowing that building stuff was all he talked about I laughed a litle inside cause I knew that you were right. It sent a soothing feeling through me after you said that. Thank you for giving this world a son that was loved and respected by many. He will never be forgotten.

Allison,
I have a brother and thanks to you and Adam we have grown so much closer since Adam was taken from us. I know that having him was the best thing ever cause I feel that way about mine. You were younger than Adam which made things difficult when trying to date guys. His opinion will always be given no matter what. Adam will always be there for you even though he is not on earth with us now. I can't tell you how sorry I am but I can tell you that you also helped your brother become a better person. He loved you dearly. Keep the memories close and never let them fade. They will eventually help you through the grief of him being gone.

Brooke,
He loved you whole heartedly. Words can't express the way that he felt about you. Just remember that the times you shared together will never be taken by someone else. Don't close your heart off from everyone. Let people know the kind of person he was away from everyone. Let people know that he was the same with you as he was with everyone else. Never let the memories fade.

Ted, Gail, and Allison -- I love you all so much, and I will always be here to help you in any way I can. Adam's death has forever changed us all. It's still so hard to accept "why" something so tragic had to happen to someone as rare and remarkable as Adam. I have to admit that the human part of me still wants to question God even though I do trust HIM. Since our pain, and especially your pain, goes far beyond what words can say it is hard to imagine that God's purpose is greater than our pain. When I start thinking this way, I am quickly reminded by the Holy Spirit that God has and always will love Adam even more than we do. Adam has safely reached his heavenly home where he will live forevermore.

Through Adam's life and death, he accomplished what God planned for him to do. Adam touched so many people's lives, the number is infinite. There are so many people, young and old, who want to be more like him. What a legacy! I credit all three of you for the fine young man Adam grew to be. A family's love and support are instrumental in shaping a person's character. You should all be very proud of yourselves for helping Adam become such an extraordinary person who made such a difference in this world. He was very proud of you, and he loved and respected you all so much.

Just like you, I have so many wonderful memories of Adam that I cherish. These memories began from the day he was born and still bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart. It has been an honor and a privilege to be his "Aunt Diane". Adam left a hole in our hearts that no one can ever fill. Take comfort, as I do, in knowing that one day soon we will rejoice and be with Adam and our loved ones in our heavenly home forevermore. Anytime you feel like reminiscing, please count me in.

With all my love and prayers, Diane

Only those who knew Adam can appreciate the magnitude of his existence. Although it has only been days since we got that horrible news that our friend, brother, son and captain left the world that he loved to be in. We have come together to not only mourn his death but also celebrate his life... The many things that he has done for the community, his family, his friends and most importantly the strangers that he has helped because of his dedication to the fire department. He will not be forgotten. He will not be just another memory. He will be the man who risked his life for everything. The man who put everything aside and stood by his brothers in the line of fire. The man who went to Equador and built homes for those in need. The man who is now watching over us. As our lives have and will continue, we will be smart and stupid, weak and strong, a failure and a success, shamed or proud, but one thing that will not be forgotten is you Cadillac. We feel you here and we will remember your life and remember that it gives us all something to live up to... a life well lived and fully enjoyed. As some will leave this Earth just as you did, each time, we know that you are right there waiting to make it right for them as you will do for all of us. We want you know that nobody will live up to your place in our hearts. We love you friend and you will be missed so very much. This is an acknowledgement of your death but we will always spend more time celebrating your life and telling your encouraging, funny, hepling and loving stories. Nobody will ever walk this earth quite the way you did. You will not fade. As we sit here and watch each day pass by, it becomes easier yet harder for all of us. Although there is NO farewell... only longing for our next visit. You will be flying high above the clouds and watching over each one of us, but please be sure to get your rest because we will all have so much to catch up on when our days have come. In Memory Of Adam Ryan Howard "Cadillac

Ted and Gail and Howard Family-

We have struggled with your loss and knowing what to say to you at a time like this. God gives us the gift of our children but does not promise to us how long we will have to prepare them for life's journey. We only hope that we will have the time to show them the correct path. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers in the days to come.

Time has taken me from you,
Although not very far.
I'll be watching through the sunshine
And through the brightest star.
I'll be watching all of you,
From the heavens up above.
So take good care of each other
And carry all my love.
If you're ever wondering
If I'm there, here's where you can start.
Take a look inside yourself
Deep within your heart.
I'll always be your baby,
Your child (grandchild), your best friend.
So anytime you need me,
Close your eyes I'm back again.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I went to school with both Adam and TJ. Adam and I were in carpentry class together for a couple years. He was always a calm, kind, happy person ready to help at any minute. I thank him for his dedication to DRVFD, I am in SBVFD's district but on my way to and from school should anything have happened that gold F150 would have been the first to arrive without a doubt. I watched at the visitation and everyone there was sobbing in disbelief that this could happen to such a remarkable young man. In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I'm so sorry that you guys are having to go through this. it's hard to think that someone this close in age to me has gone to be with the lord ,but like Pastor Anthony said it's all in god's perfect plan and he is perfect. Adam Was a great guy and a great freind to anyone he was around. Through uturn and the ware house and the victor he aways had his hands in things to help others. that smile that he had could light up the room. He has grown up to not only be a great guy but a great man ,but we'll see him again when it's our time and when we get there you know he'll have that big smile on his face. I love you guy's and if there is ever anything i can do. I'll be there. im praying for you and god bless your family. R.I.P. "CADILLAC"

Adam was one of the finest young men I have ever had the privilege to know. He was responsible, goal oriented, loving and dependable. He worked hard and always had a smile on his face. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met which has been so evident by the overwhelming outpouring of love upon your family over the past few days. Watching the grace, faith in God and courage your family has displayed during this terrible time in your lives has shown why Adam was the quality person he was.

I pray God will give you all the strength to make it through this difficult time in your life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and forever. It is hard for us to understand why this had to take place to such a wonderful young man. I wish we knew the answers. Just look how many people loved him and love u and your family showing up like they have through it all. All of this with all the people that has come out and give and showed all their love. All the people that came out for his services last night. What a night huh? And then today with the funeral look how it turned out. So much love and care. Wylie and the girls told me just how beautiful it was today. So I am so happy for the turn out to make all of u proud. I wish I had known Adam more than we did. I have been gone from home a long time and it's not easy when it's like that. I wouldn't take anything though Adam being the proud son he was for you and Gail and a great brother to his sister. That's wonderful you have so many wonderful memories of him and now to move on with.

Love and care to you all.

Gail and Family,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your precious son. Everyone has such wonderful and kind things to say about him. He was very special. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God comfort and bless you and give you the peace that passeth all understanding.
Love,

Dear Gail, Ted & Allison,

I haven't been fortunate to spend much time with you over the last several years, but you have often been in my thoughts. It is clear to see what a wonderful young man Adam had become and how very much he was loved by all who knew him. His smile is certainly infectious from the photos I have seen lately.

You will be in our hearts and prayers daily and know that we are here if ever you need us for any reason. If ever there was a time to trust in the Lord (Prov. 3: 5 ¶ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. ) it is surely the time.

We love you,

Snow, Frankie, Brooke, Trent & Lauren Jones

Gail, Ted, and Allison, Words do not come easy at this time as I struggle to understand God's plan. I do, however, know that now there is another angel in Heaven to help look out for our little Caroline. We miss her deeply and my heart breaks every day, so I feel your pain and tears. I have read the line "there is no love greater than a parent and child", but a grandmother's love runs a very close 2nd. I also read someone write "I do know that God doesn`t cause the bad to happen, but when it does he is right there to carry us, to strenghten, and to take us home if it is our time". I pray you find some comfort in all the entries from the many people who loved and admired your son. I am sure he will never be forgotten.

May Adam and our Caroline dance with the angels until we can all join them!

With our deepest sympathy,
Donald & Emmie King

To the Howard Family and Brooke,
I am so sorry for this loss; I cannot begin to imagine the void this creates. I pray that God will put his loving arms of comfort around you all and lessen this pain. I met Adam at Brooke's home this past June and it was clear to me he was a wonderful young man. I know all the lives he touched are better for having known him.

Words are so hard to find that will encourage you. Your lives have changed forever. I was touched by a statement I read in a book. It stated, "as God rejoiced when your son was born to the earth HE is now also rejoicing for HE has him now by HIS side." This book also stated that our days were numbered the day we were born so this is part of HIS plan.

I pray for your comfort during this time and please know that David, Taylor and I share in your grief. My heart just breaks for you. If any of you need anything, to talk, to cry or just to get away from it all please don't hesitate to call on us. We will be there for you guys. May God bless you and give you comfort in the coming days!!

A child is a precious gift from god. He knew when he give them to us that was precious time and one day would take them back but did not know would be so soon. He is in a better place than we are.I am so sorry for your loss. We did not know Adam, new of him. Always heard great things. You can look upward now and know you will always have a Guardina Angle.

We remember when Adam was born. You lived just across the street. When he was a toddler, Shannon was his babysitter sometimes. I know Adam loved the fire department and our son Brian told us what a good firefighter he was. Adam and Brian spent some time together in Baltimore a couple of months ago at a firefighter conference. I know you are very proud of the fine young man Adam was. Remember the good times and cherish your memories. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for your loss.

God Bless,

There are no words, gestures or offers of comfort that can ease your pain at this time.

I just wanted to let you know that I have thought daily of you since Adam's accident. There is no way to know your pain in losing a child and a brother. Take comfort in knowing that he is with God and was welcomed with open arms of love.

We did not know Adam but have always heard from Angie and Jessica that he was a very special man.

Rely on your faith, friends and family members to sustain you during this time of sorrow.

God will see you through this and will walk by your side every step of the way.
