Philip Harry Stanley Pace

Port Orchard - Philip Harry Stanley Pace, of Port Orchard, WA was born February 12, 1946 and passed away on December 9, 2020. After graduating West High School in Bremerton, Phil served in the US Army receiving multiple honors for his service in Vietnam, including a Purple Heart, the Silver Star and 6 Air Medals.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Pace and is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, Susan, his 4 children, Rebecca, Kathleen, Bryan, Steven, 2 brothers James and Robert and 5 grandchildren Daniel, Kristy, Leo, Max and Andrew.

Phil loved his family, and had many hobbies including photography, paleontology, ham radio, traveling, wood working and blogging in the scientific community. He was a tenacious advocate for responsible home school education, special education, worldwide Parkinson's Support Groups, and citizens' rights and responsibilities with respect to the constitution and federal law.

The family will hold a small invitation only service for immediate family on January 23rd at the First Baptist Church of Port Orchard. The family hopes to host a public memorial this summer where his family and friends can safely gather to share their memories and celebrate Phil's life.
