Mr. Benjamin Leon Fike, age 88 of Jamestown, TN passed away Monday, January 8 at Tennova Healthcare of Jamestown.

Leon was an active member of First Baptist Church, Jamestown, and The American Legion Post 137. He worked at the K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge for 40 years. He was involved with Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief for many years. He enjoyed all sporting events, especially his Tennessee Vols.

Mr. Fike was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Cleon Fike and Arvasine Fike Ramsey, sisters Eva Moore and Gladys Fike and son Thomas Leon Fike.

Mr. Benjamin Leon Fike is survived by his wife of 64 years, Thelma Charlene Ledford Fike, children Connie Rains and husband Kenny, Betty Grishkin and husband Brent, Brenda Hatcher and husband Monty, and Donnie Fike and wife Karen. Grandchildren Jason and Josh Rains, Johnny, Sherrie and Ryan Blymiller, Holden, Haylee and Harrison Hatcher, Cody, Collyn and Kristen Fike and 11 great-grandchildren. Sisters Hazel Franklin, Maude Richards and brother Frank Fike and wife Billie Jean and a host of nieces and nephews. Leon was blessed to have Talina Butler help care of him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11, at 6PM CST at the Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown with Rev. Kenneth Rains and Rev. Mark Tipton officiating. This service will include a Military Service conducted by the American Legion Post 137. Grave side service to be held Friday, January 12 at 10 CST at the Bookwalter Cemetery in Knoxville. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes, 5001 Maryland Way, Brentwood, TN 37127.
