Chris and I worked together at KCSO and the first memory I had was him joking and laughing. We didn't always see eye to eye but he was a great friend. I know he is in heaven joking around, laughing, and more than likely fishing. When I think of Chris i always think of the fin we had driving around and joking about everything and singing songs on the radio. I love you Chris My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My children started at Cedar Bluff Kids this year - transitioning from a daycare they had been in since they were two years old. "Mr. Chris" was their hero from the beginning. He helped make them feel at home and loved. Her first day, my daughter told me how Mr. Chris lifted her so she could dunk a basket. She reminded me of that when we learned of his passing. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that your son and brother made a difference in the lives of all the children he touched. Thank you for sharing your limited time with Chris with us. We will always remember his kindness and love.

To the Duncan family:

I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Chris was a very well mannered young man. He was always polite and considerate. I am especially grateful for his extending a hand of friendship to my son Jonathan when we took shelter in Knoxville after Hurricane Katrina. The friendship they made at Karns High School helped my son transition into a better life in east Tennessee. My family received Chris in our home many times during that period, and we will deeply miss him. We are so sorry for your loss.

Chris was a wonderful, polite young man who loved the Lord, his family and friends. I had the pleasure to meet Chris first through his Mom, Rhonda whom I met in preparation for a mission trip to Chile. Then, I had the honor of teaching Chris Spanish at the Christian Academy of Knoxville. He had a heart for Spanish and those of the Hispanic culture which was evident when he returned to school after a mission trip to Nicaragua. He brought a dvd of his experiences which he shared with his classmates. His heart of the children and his love for the Lord were evident in his mission experience. He will be sadly missed by the many lives he touched. My heartfelt support goes out to Tim and Rhonda, Philip and Paul during a difficult time regardless of one's faith - and I know that they are so strong in faith. There is great sadness in the loss of companionship of those that we love and hold so dearly. I am praying for your comfort, your peace and your strength during this time. Bonnie Harlow

We are so sad to hear that Chris has died. Chris touched the lives of many children at Cedar Bluff Kids, but especially that of my son, a kindergartner. Chris took my son under his wing and with great kindness made a tremendous difference in his adjustment to school. We are so thankful to have known Chris and will remember his kind heart with gratitude for the talents he freely shared with us.
