Ray & I are so sorry for the lost of your dad John . I always enjoyed talking to him at church. He always had a smile on his face. We were so saddened to hear of the battle he had with cancer . I know he is happy & pain free now. We can only imagine how happy he is. The best part is knowing that you will be with him again for all eternity. Our hearts are heavy for you and your family. Losing a loved one changes your life forever. You never get over loosing them you just learn to live with it. Treasure your memories of him bc they are precious & priceless . We are praying for GODS peace and comfort to cover you through this sad time.

With a heavy heart and a tear in my eye, I can rejoice that my dad's suffering is over. He is now at rest in the arms of His Savior. Tonight my mind goes back to all the happy times we had together and to all the laughter we shared. There was never a moment without smiles or laughter. I remember Five Oaks horse back ridding stables, golf carts, four wheelers , horse shows rodeos and what good times we had. Then later in life, Jet skiis, boats and fishing trips to Golfshores Al. Oh, we had a great childhood. I have so many memories of phone calls, talking about football, and who we were pulling for that year. But the best memory I have is from this time last year when Dad moved back to town and started coming to my church. I remember how he gave his life back to the Lord and how he would call me everyday to tell me how he had made it all day without saying a cuss word. How he said he felt the closer to the Lord than ever before. That's how I will always remember you, Dad! Dancing and singing on the front row of the church. I know right now you are dancing on streets of gold. And when we watched you take your last breath here, I could only imagine what you saw when you opened your eyes there! I love and miss you, and I always will.
Your son,
John
Ps: See you real soon!!

I remember seeing David on the front row of our church raising his hands and worshipping our God! He always had a big smile on his face and gave warm hugs. We have the hope that we will see him again... to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
