Dewey Walker Obituary

WALKER, DEWEY PASCLE JR. - age 84 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the Jefferson City Rehabilitation Center. Preceded in death by parents, Dewey P. Walker, Sr. and Mary Lou Walker; and sisters, Louise Noe, Juanita Burnett; and brother, James E. Walker. Survived by wife, Wanda E. Walker; daughter, Susie Walker; brother, Joseph P. Walker; sisters, Marjorie Wooten and Barbara Richard; and special friend, Anita Thompson. Family would like to express special appreciation to Unit 1 care givers at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center. Family and friends will meet 1:15 pm Friday at the East TN Veteran Cemetery for a 1:30 pm graveside service with Rev. Barney Evans officiating. Military honors will be provided by the East TN Veteran Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Washington Pike Baptist Church, 1700 Washington Pike, Knoxville, TN 37917. I just found out about your husband today. I am so sorry for your loss. It is so sad that all of those in the Millertown community that I knew as a young person is fast fading away. I know he will be greatly missed. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

Wanda and Susie,
I know how much you will miss Dewey, but the good thing is this is only temporary and he is now healthy and free from all pain.

I bet Daddy was at the door waiting for him and I don't even want to imagine what they are saying about all of us. :)
