Maynardville, TN
Gladys Buckner Muncey, age 78, of Maynardville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Gladys had a special love for her great-grandchildren and they were her life.
Preceded in death by sons, Gary and Jeffery Muncey; great-grandson, Dalton Lewis; parents, Roy and Minnie Buckner; sister, Grace Lynn; brothers, Roy Lynn Buckner, Billy Ray Buckner. Survivors: husband, Troy (Todd) Muncey; son, Lynn Muncey and wife, Pamela; grandchildren, Terry Muncey and wife, Alicia, Lauren Muncey, Melissa Sexton Clark, Paul Wilson, April Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kailey and Brantley Muncey, Isaiah and Caden Lewis, Devin Wilson, Mikayla Deloach, Brittany Clark; sisters, Etta Mae (Eddie) Hunley, Wanda (Virgil) Yadon, Anna (Ted) Todd, Patricia (Bobby) Capps; brother, Rondy (Debbie) Buckner; brother-in-law, Claude Lynn; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, with funeral services to follow at 8:00 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Richard and Linda Nicley, Bobby Mink. Interment 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. Saturday to go in procession. Pallbearers: Terry Muncey, Melvin Lynn, Paul Wilson, Bobby Mink, Billy Joe Henderson, Larry Henderson. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
