Madisonville, TN
West, Gregory Antonio, age 57, the second son born to Betty Lucille Carson and the late Tommy Lee West, a native of Madisonville, died suddenly Monday, July 16, 2018. Preceded in death by grandparents, Henry & Mary Carson and Velma West, brothers, Brian & Charles West. Greg was a quiet man, a military man, but above all, a family man. He enjoyed fishing and vacationing where he could see the blue ocean waters and was looking forward to retirement. His greatest joy was time spent visiting and playing with his grandchildren, great niece & nephews. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving overseas during the Persian Gulf War. For the last 20 years, he proudly worked for CSX railroad as an Engineer. Survivors, sons, Gregory Jerome West, Tevin West, Daughter, Shawntell West, Granddaughter, Avyson Michelle West, an unborn Granddaughter on-the-way, Naveigha Skye, Grandson, Luca Antonio West, Mother, Betty Carson, Sisters, Nadine (Reynaldo) Jones, Cheryl West, Kim West, Brothers, Terrance West, William West, Aunts & uncles, Ollie (belated Clarence) Sudderth, Carol (James) Smith, Jimmy (Carolyn) West, Four nieces, Six great-nieces/nephews, many beloved cousins, numerous loyal and supportive work mates. He will be greatly missed but always remembered. Funeral 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 24, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Reverend Adrian Billingsley & Reverend William Dickerson officiating. Interment Park City Cemetery, with military honors provided by V.F.W. Post #5156, D.A.V. #93 & American Legion Post #106. Family will receive friends 12-30-2 P.M. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
