Guy William Wysinger passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 with his wife and sister by his side. Guy was born in Banning, California on June 19, 1941 to Guy and Ruth Wysinger. When he was 4 years old, the family moved to El Rio, and he lived in Ventura County for the last 69 years. He and his older sister, Merlene, attended school in Oxnard with Guy graduating from Oxnard High School in 1959. In 1961 he married Kathleen Morris, and together they had six children. In 1983, Guy married Lynne Venuti Andreasen, who had 3 children, and they began their life as a blended family. He had a deep and abiding love for all of his children.
Guy had a 43 year career with the Automobile Club of Southern California. He began in sales working his way up to District Manager in the Ventura office. The last eight years of his career with the Automobile Club, he was District Manager of their Santa Barbara office. He was dearly loved by those that he worked with. During his working career he was also very active in the community. He served as President of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce from 1993 to 1994. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Bishop in Camarillo and later in 2 Bishoprics in Ventura. He loved his faith and leaves a legacy of lifelong service. Guy struggled for several years with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus and many associated complications. He faced all of his health issues with an attitude of optimism and strength, never letting others know the real extent of his pain. Guy's family will be forever grateful for the wonderful care that he received from his doctor and friend, Thomas McBreen, M.D. Guy considered him family.
Guy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Lynne, his sister Merlene Hanline of Ukiah, his children Donna Wysinger of Sandy, Utah; Guy Wysinger, Jr. (Edith) of Camarillo; Stephanie Hayes (Jim) of Ventura; Nancy Martell (Myles) of Riverton, Utah; Jamie Zuromski of Concord; Amy Andreasen-Morales of Ventura; Emily Wilson (Brandon) of Rockwall, Texas; and Eric Andreasen (Megan) of Ventura. This breaks out hearts! Guy was my dad Ian best friend for many many years. When I lost my Dad, Guy continued to check in on me and my family even though he was dealing with his own struggles. Prayers for the family and all the kids. I do know this ... Guy and my father are finally together again. Sending our condolences. The McGreevy Family.

Dear Wysinger Family,
When a good and well loved man is called back to his first home to be with those who have gone before, we are left empty and forsaken.
But great grief means there was great love and that is a blessing.
A Dr Seuss quote comforted me when my dear Tom died 10 months ago today. "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
Be grateful for the great love you had for this good and spiritual man. His journey has just begun.
