Macy Jones Obituary

JONES, MACY LUE JOHNSON - age 72 of Knoxville, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at her home. She was born on July 18, 1936 to the late Henry and Lillie Johnson. Macy was a member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden and was employed by Standard Knitting Mills for over 33 years and was retired from Target with over 5 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Henry Johnson, Jr., Hobert Randolph Johnson, Noah Amos Johnson, Hester Van Johnson, sister Effie Johnson Howard and son Richard Allen Jones. Macy is survived by her beloved husband, Benny Jones; daughter and son in law Gladys M. and Johnnie Watson and son and daughter in law, Benny Henry, Jr. and Donnie Jones; daughter in law, Pam Jones; grandsons, Philip Jones, Daniel Jones, Byron Jones, Zachary Jones and Caleb Jones; sisters and brothers in law, Wanda Waller, Lottie and Curtis French and Janice Sue and Tayeb Ounada; brother Elmer Joseph Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews. Macy was a caring and loving person to all who knew her and she will be sadly missed. Funeral service 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. Alfred T. Royer officiating. The family and friends will meet 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Johnson Family Cemetery in Baxter, KY for an interment service. Honorary Pallbearers: Rev. Alfred Royer and the Adult Sunday School Class 7A. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. www.rosemortuary.com

I was saddened to read of Macy's passing. A daughter of proud and noble parents whose lineage can be traced back to 11th century England and beyond to the House of Fitzjohn. My deepest sympathy goes out to the families Johnson And Jones.

Macy was a godsend to my dad and sister after our mother died. Macy was a fine and honest woman. She treated us as her own. Kindness abound her. She will be greatly missed.
