I knew Oliver from his job at the bank. He made enough of an impression on me with his friendliness, humor, and just general sweetness that I realized I hadn't seen him recently, and asked about him today. I was shocked to hear the news. My sincerest condolences to his family. He always brightened my day even as such a casual acquaintance.

Bless all of you in your time of need. It was the honor of a lifetime to have been Oliver's friend. I miss him constantly, but I hold on to the memories he helped make that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. It's rare to encounter someone so good and decent as Oliver, and the world was made a better place because he was part of it. I am a better person because of his influence in my life. God bless all of you, and know that you are not alone.

My heart goes out to everyone whose life Oliver touched. He was a wonderful person.
I knew Oliver best when he was young and attended KCEE School but managed to keep up with him over the years. He was one of my favorite students; a talented and gifted person. He approached every day as a 'new adventure.'
Even as a young child Oliver demonstrated a compassion for others that was unique. It is difficult to think about Oliver without smiling... and although he will be missed, he will always be fondly remembered.

This just breaks my heart.. Oliver was just about my favorite person in the world and I really barely knew him! May his world renowned humor keep us going through our loss. He was a man of faith and I look forward to seeing "Big O" on the other side.. May God grant peace to the Wright and Clowers Families.. In this time of recovery of what was lost. Sincerely, Chris Kerr

To Oliver's Family:
Just a moment to reflect on a young man in Farragut Intermediate School. Some of the retired teachers met for lunch on Tuesday and we were talking about Oliver. Oliver was very special to our school and made an impression on fellow students as well as the staff and faculty. I remember when he was "principal for the day" at school. He came with white shirt and tie and looked the part of "principal" for sure. Dr. Frazier went around with him and we all smiled on that day. He deserved the "fame" because he was so special. The librarian, Mary Halliburton and I became fast friends with Oliver. He loved to read. I can just see his little side-ways smile and twinkle in his eye. We got several "hugs" from Oliver as he climbed the "reading" wall. Music teacher, Pam Jackson, said he was special in music. We remember he loved Elvis Presley and did some neat impressions of Elvis. Too sweet.
What a nice young man he became--sounds like he made impressions on many. He is gone from our sight but forever in our hearts. We were blessed to have him come into our lives. Sincerely, Linda Frederick.

Janet -- my heart goes out to you and your family. I remember Oliver coming to my door when he was pretty young and he burst into an amazing Elvis impersonation on my doorstep. He was always nice and funny and I thought he was a great kid growing up in Fox Run. I just can't express how sorry we are for your loss.

Dear Earl, Janet, and Sharon,
I attended St. Elizabeth's for many years and adored Oliver. (My daughter babysat for you occasionally).
The best two words for him were endearing and irresistible - that smile! Like a little elf!
I won't offer platitudes. I'll simply say we loved Oliver, and his life caused "ripples" that will go on and on.
With affection,
Pat
