Ruth Waller Obituary

WALLER, RUTH ANN - of Knoxville, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Parkwest Medical Center. She was born in Yeardon, Pennsylvania to parents William C. and Ruth Bitting Leonard. She spent most of her professional career in nursing and taught at the St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing for 20 years. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, William K. Waller; daughter, Dr. Jennifer Ann Waller Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Sam Looney, Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Stacy Waller, Easton, PA; grandson, Stephen Looney, Knoxville; granddaughter and husband, Heather Looney Schwab and Chris Schwab, Leander, TX; grandson, Daniel Waller, Easton, PA; granddaughter, Audrey Conyers, Anderson, SC; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Schwab, Leander, TX; brother and sister-in-law, William C. and Jill Leonard, Arnold, Maryland; nephews: Keith, Craig, and Eric Leonard. The family will welcome friends from 4:00-5:00 P.M. on Friday, July 10, 2009, at Calhoun's on Bearden Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, 800 Millwood Road, Knoxville, TN 37920. Arrangements by Cremation Options, Inc.
