Samuel Gibson Obituary
Lenoir City, TN
Samuel "Happy" Baxter Gibson, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at his home in Lenoir City. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving his country as a radio operator and retired as a Tennessee Realtor.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Franklin Gibson and Alyce Ruth Stout Gibson. He is survived by wife, Cecilia Swallows Gibson; sisters, Alyce Gibson Silvey, Pat Gibson Bailey; and brother-in-law, Len Bailey; and brother, James Gibson; and sister-in-law, Cathy.
Family and friends will celebrate the life of Sam "Happy" Gibson at The Venue, 7690 Creekwood Park Boulevard, Lenoir City, on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sam's memory to Pat Summitt Foundation (Fund of East TN for Alzheimers), 520 West Summit Hill Drive, Suite 1101, Knoxville, TN 37902, www.patsummit.org. I express my sorrow for all of the family. May the peace of God descend on each of you. I haven't seen Sam since High School but I will always remember his humor and kind heart. The leader of Sam and the Gators will be missed.
