Dessie Arnold Obituary
FORT WAYNE - Dessie J. Arnold, 70, of Columbia City, passed on at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.

Dessie was a friend whom I met through church. She always had a glowing smile, and I cherish the times that we were able to perform together. She was truly dedicated to God and her music. I am better to have known her.

Dessie was one of the very first people I met at Butler. We both studied violin with the great violinist Eddy Brown. Dessie and I won an appearance with the Butler Orchestra performing a Vivaldi 2 Violin Concerto. In between practicing we spent a good deal of time together. Dessie was one of the most extraordinary women I´ve had the privilege of knowing. Her deep thinking and insightful perspective in all things helped me through many periods of my life. She was a lifelong friend whose memory I will always cherish.
