TAMPA, Fl. - Michael Wayne Klink, 87, of Tampa Florida and formerly of Waterloo, passed away July 5, 2018 at home after suffering a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was born on October 19, 1930 to Lilly May Feeney and Wayne E. Klink.
Mike was a loving husband, father, and best friend to his wife. Mike was the oldest child of 11 children and owned his own business for many years.
He retired from Hendry Corporation in Tampa, Florida. Mike was the best crane operator that ever lived. It was his dream to be the best and he was.
He is survived by wife of 34 years, Sallie R. Klink; three children; Michael (Debra) Klink of Auburn; Brenda (Dennis) Cropper of Indianapolis; and Margaret (Dennis) DeRosa of Fort Wayne; three stepchildren; 14 grandchildren including Kristen Klink of Portage; Kendra Klink of Auburn; Jessica (Anthony) Severino of Chicago, Illinois; and Simon (Marissa) Klink of Washington D.C.; 10 great-grandchildren; nine siblings including brothers Richard C. Klink of Angola; Wayne Klink, Jr of Ashley; George Klink of South Milford, Kelley Klink of Angola; sisters Mabel Bowers of Fillmore, California; Linda Buss of Stroh; Mary Rinehart of Ashley, Ruth Ann Rowlinson of Waterloo and Lillie Lou Till of Fort Wayne.
Mike was preceded in death by one brother and two grandchildren.
Donations may be made to HPH Hospice.
Memorial gathering is Monday, July 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. with service at 2 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home, Hudson, Florida.
