Frank Martin Obituary

Frank Maurice Martin, 83, of Platte City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was a man full of personality, warmth, and charm. He never met a cup of coffee he didn't like and had a unique gift for telling the truth in seven different ways. A natural storyteller, his tales were colorful-some true, some "enhanced"-but always memorable. His laughter and wit brought joy to everyone around him. A lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, Frank had a passion for sports and loved spending his time on the golf course, watching NASCAR, bowling, or simply relaxing in front of the TV. He often asked when we were going dancing again-even if it had been years since he'd last hit the floor-reminding us of his youthful spirit and love for life. Frank was a member of Manchaca UMC while living in Buda, TX and then a member of Edmonds United Methodist Church in Washington before returning to Missouri. Faith, family, and humor were cornerstones of his life. Born on April 4, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, Frank was the son of Johnnie F. Bullock of Arkansas. He married the love of his life, Marie M. Martin, on September 27, 2002. Together, they built a beautiful, blended family of seven children. Frank is lovingly survived by his wife, Marie Martin; his brother, Buster (Kathy) Heitman; and sister-in-law, Cindy Heitman. He leaves behind his children: Jon (Lori) Martin, Steve Martin, Michael Hastings (Chris Alexander), Patricia Martin, Kerry Gress, Michelle (Chase) Crocker, and Melissa (Keith) Barclay. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Adam, David, Blake, Megan, Hollie, Joseph, Sierra, Ava, Ari, Evan, and Holden; as well as nine great-grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Heitman, and his brother, Fred Heitman. Frank's life was filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering devotion to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. Arrangements By: Rollins Funeral Home-Platte City, MO-Ph. 816.858.2129. www.rollinsfuneralhome.net
