Montgomery Anderson "Monte" Riddle

Montgomery "Monte" Anderson Riddle, 54, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home in Platte City, MO. He was the beloved husband of Kristi Riddle; they shared 22 years together. Monte was born in Columbia Missouri on November 6, 1970, he was the son of the late James and Connie Riddle. He attended Hallsville High School. Monte worked as an Operator, at Ring Container Technology, in St. Joseph, MO. The love Monte had for his family and friends was undeniable. He was at his best when they were around. A force to be reconned with, he stood up for what he believed in. He would defend his family and friends fiercely. Monte loved you and you knew it. And he was so easy to love. He loved sports and was an avid fan of Mizzou and Chiefs football. He loved playing golf with his brother, nephews, and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Kristi, and daughter, Julia, of the home; son, Tyler (Keeley) Collins of Gower, MO; his grandson, Ashtyn, whom he adored; brother Chris (Lana) Riddle, Holt, MO; sisters Sharon (Mark) Humphrey, Platte City, MO, and Jessica (Wes) Starke, Murrieta, CA; nephews Branden (Faliesha), Michael (Andrea), James (Kegan), Jeremy (Audrey), Donny (Krystle), Scott, Eli, and Kai; nieces Brandie and Aaliyah; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, family, friends, and his beloved dog, Maddie. A Memorial service is planned for 1:00PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Rollins Funeral Home located at 1106 Branch Street, Platte City, MO. Monte's presence will be deeply missed with each step we take, as we navigate our future without him. May he rest in peace until we meet again. A Celebration of life will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Rollins Funeral Home. The family requests that you wear your favorite sports team attire.
