Steven Cords Obituary
Steven "Stevo" Kenneth Cords-Meyer
1989 – 2025
Steven "Stevo" Kenneth Cords-Meyer left this mortal realm on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the age of 35. He got the final quest over with-no option to continue-way too soon.
Steven is survived by his wife and best friend of two years, Andora "Andy" Cords. They had been partners in life and laughter since 2017. Together, they shared a love so strong that even in death, Steven gave her the greatest gift: a yet unborn child. He also leaves behind three children-William, Seth, and Amelia-and one more on the way, his final epic team.
Steven has now rejoined the celestial party with his grandparents Bill Meyer, Bondell Meyer, and Edna Leak. We're sure he brought his famous grin and a few good pranks with him.
Still holding it down here on Earth are his wife, Andora Cords; his parents, Vonette Cords and Kenny Meyer; his greatest treasures-children William Meyer, Seth Meyer, and Amelia Meyer; his older brother Frankie Cords, Frankie's wife Kasha, and their children: Zackary, Tristan, Saphira, and Alyster Cords; his younger brother David Meyer and David's children: Eric, Daimon, Tobias, Jocelynn, and Robin Claasen-Meyer; and his younger siblings: Keanu, Kalen, and Katrina Meyer.
Steven's childhood was the stuff of legends-spent traveling with the McDermotts and living life on the carnival circuit. He mastered games like Skee-Ball and shared his carnival secrets to his brothers. His love of knick-knacks, prizes, and novelty items became a lifelong passion, which he enthusiastically shared with his family.
He graduated from Scribner High School in 2009, where he played football, participated in FFA, wrestling, and track and field with the same energy he brought to every part of life. As an adult, Steven became the ultimate jack-of-all-trades. Whether fixing a house, building something from scratch, or just showing up when someone needed a hand-he did it all. And in true Steven fashion, he joked: "Jack of all trades, master of none-but still better than master of one."
Steven was a comic book connoisseur, video game warrior, café adventurer, and a Lego master builder. He had the gift of gab and could make anyone laugh. His facial expressions and perfect comedic timing made even the simplest jokes land-like when he'd say, "I didn't do it," even though everyone knew he did. Yup, that was Steven. The prankster. The jokester. The lovable troublemaker we all adored.
If Steven could say one last thing, it would be this: "I love you. I didn't want this to happen, but it did. So, remember me with a smile-and if you laugh, even better."
He will be missed more than words can say, especially by his children. His memory lives on through every joke told, every project finished halfway, every game played, and every smile he gave to the world.
Game over, but never forgotten.
