Lee Evan Weber
MESA, AZ - Lee Evan Weber, Mesa, AZ, passed away after a short illness on December 14, 2021. Lee was born Sept. 14, 1933 on a farm near Viroqua, WI.
He joins his sister, Mary Alexander and parents, Blaine and Maybell Weber. He is survived by his wife, Wendy; son, Daniel; daughter, Andra (Brian) Denhartog; grandchildren: Katy and Justin; and nieces and nephews. Lee was a mentor and friend to step-children: Linda, John and Ray and their families.
Lee joined the US Air Force in 1954 and retired in 1981 after 27 years with the rank of Lt. Colonel. After completing the Canadian Immigration requirements, he returned to Goose Bay, Labrador. There he was Manager for USAF Airlift Operations at Goose Air Base. When USAF left Goose Bay, Lee was transferred to Winnipeg, Manitoba with the Canadian Air Command (DND). He retired again in 1996 and he and Wendy moved to Montana.
Since 1998, they have enjoyed living in Leisure World and Lee was involved in a number of clubs and organizations. He enjoyed golf, the fitness center and volunteering at our library. After a bit of coaxing, loved the cruising life on Holland America. Always ready with a story or two after.
Furthermore, Lee left a wide community of friends from his military years and through his service as a Mason. He was a kind and caring man and will be missed.
It was Lee's wish to have his remains donated to the Willed Body Program, College of Medicine at The University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ. Any donations in his name to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
