Catman,
As I always called you growing up while you would be hanging with my dad & family! You fit in just right with your passion to be active such as lifting at many places, basketball, swimming & you sure liked to talk! You sure had confidence in all of your abilities & I admired that as a child growing up! Another ability I learned about you was the ability to detail cars!

When I did end up finding out your real name as I got older you still were Cat man to me! I thought your Mustang with the tiger on it & the speakers you played driving around town with my dad, Billy & I playing “The Eye of the Tiger” was the coolest thing! This is why Cat man stuck in my head! As well as being strong willed you were also a dear friend that my dad and his brothers cared for & I also felt that you cared back! I saw a smile from you all while you were together. This hits the family hard as you were like an uncle to me!

We will always miss you,
From, Annie (as you called me)

I have known Tom all of my life ... we were first cousins and when the family came down to Gays Mills ... we had a great time together!!! All of his life he had a can do approach ... wonderful attitude in life and a fantastic overall outlook of whatever was next ... he will be sadly missed. Every time I will eat a pizza - I will think of Tom ( as that was one of his food loves ). God Bless you Tom - the CAT and god bless all his family members. Your cousins - Lori and John Drake

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing, and my condolences to the Christopherson family. I grew up in the same neighborhood, and was friends with Dan & Tom. Tom was always up for whatever game we were going to play, and never hesitated to bring the competiveness. Lots of fun times back then. It's been many years since I left La Crosse and saw Tom, but in reading what others have written, Tom sounds like he was still the same person I knew years ago. He was a joy to hang out with, and will certainly be missed.

So sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. He was a good guy and will be missed by all who knew him. I know he was like a brother to Tiny and Butch. There's 3 guys that would be faithful friends to have. Anyway... God bless you all...

Cat, I grew up listening to stories about you some funny, some caring, but all iconic. I´ll never forget that you were at my first wrestling tournament that I took first place at cheering me on. I also will never forget the impact you had on the Lorenz family as a whole. This is a major loss for us. You will always be remembered as legendary. I do however know now you are at peace. No one will ever come close to what you mean to our family. Thank you for all of the time, love, dedication and loyalty that you have given to our family.

Cat, The Cat, Catman, Catmandu etc. I sure will miss the times working out together, hanging out at Lorenz family functions, listening to the stories he'd tell with such intensity. From the times when I was a just a young kid, seeing Cat around for the first times, I was like 5 maybe 6 & thought Cat was like Sylvester Stallone hanging out with my family. His voice, build, mannerisms similar to like Rocky or Cobra etc.
Catman was a beloved family member, like an uncle. Always friendly, a very chill guy until ya crossed. He loved his tunes, his cars & heavy irons. Working out with Cat along with my uncles is a memory I'll always remember, never a dull moment. Once Cat was bench pressing & mid set some other gym patron played a song Cat mustn't of cared for, Catman finished his set of bench & sat right up & then Hulked up "I WANNA TAKE THIS CD OUT & *expletive* THROW IT..Play Summer Of 69 or something"!!! That's just one of many memories that bring a smile to my face. He'll definitely be missed. It was an honor knowing such a man like him for so many years. Love ya Cat!

Cat,

I´m truly sorry that you´re gone, but you´ll always be remembered by me and the Lorenz family. I remember how much you were around. I´ll never forget all of the good memories with the bench meets and the support during the wrestling years. You were always there and I knew you would never ask for anything in return. I remember growing up and playing basketball with you at the Valley View Fitness and Racquetball Club and then you and my dad would lift together. Then there was the Iron Works gym downtown where I could never forget your signature songs you had playing while you were ready to take your lifts. "Butch, put it on." Summer of `69 or Photograph depending on your mood. I remember the exact spot the song had to be at for you to actually start the lift. From the Mustang with the Bengal tiger or the Mustang with the flames, you took pride in your vehicles. I first heard songs that I still listen to because of you. American Heartbeat by Survivor stands out the most as a fond memory. I could go on and on, but suffice to say that there was nothing but excitement when you were around. You can never be replaced Cat. You are one of a kind.

I knew Tommy C, as we called him, from the time he was maybe 12 or 13 and he would play basketball with us older guys at the outdoor hoop at 8th & Adams at Hamilton elementary.
Years later we worked together as security guards at the La Crosse Center, sometimes at the front doors or out back when a concert was being set up or collecting money to park in the parking ramp. We had opportunities to talk together for many hours and I always enjoyed my time with Tommy.
He was a generous guy and yes, there were those who took advantage of his generosity.

Tommy never knew it, but his passing taught me a great life lesson. In these last few years I had always intended to go visit him but somehow I procrastinated and he always seemed to still be here, until he wasn't. I'll always regret not going to see him at least one final time and that will haunt me. My lesson is one we all can learn. Visit that friend before it's too late.
But I am proud to have been a friend with Tommy and he lives on in all of us who loved and remember him. I hope he realized in life how much he meant to so many.

Catman,
Every moment spent with you, I will never forget. You made me feel so special and you looked out for me in ways that no one ever had. You were instrumental in my life; loving, funny, and absolutely an amazing man. There was no one like you. I know how much you loved all of us, and I know how much we loved you too. You will be missed in a way that I can´t explain. There is a sadness in your loss that I know I can´t recover from. But, you are finally at peace and I am certain you will still continue to watch over us. I love you Catman. Farewell

Tom you were simply the best. I have so many great memories of you, all the good laughs we shared, it always amazed me where ever we went everyone always said HI Tom, or HI Cat. He made everyone smile. Working with Dorothy and Rod and You three were my favorite people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. You are and always will be one in a million. I am so sorry to hear about Tom´s passing. I have very fond memories of him and the Christopherson family . Tom and Dan were good friends early in my life and Bunny babysat me for a short time. Bunny sometimes had to remind Tommie to " Cut out the French language " when he got a bit upset. Over the years I would bump into him and do some remember when´s and of course we could not ever not talk about Randy Felch! Lots of smiles and laughs. Lots of good times in the neighborhood for sure. I used to see Tommie driving his Mustang with flames on the sides and pointed it out to my kids. They knew little cat´s car. I feel very blessed to have grown up in a neighborhood of little boys in the early 60´s. Wouldn´t change a thing! Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Tommy was an inspiration of confidence within himself. I played softball with his brother Bob & he was a huge supporter of the team & was always at the games to congratulate team members. He had a passion his fast car, up & down 3rd street, past Four Seasons, with his giant smile of pride. Just a good person & great human being.

Tom Christopherson, was a wonderful genuine friend and person who I will never forget. It was a true pleasure to take care of him in the almost a year that I knew him. Tom was always enjoyable to listen to about his years before I met him. His being a Bouncer, Weight lifting days, ♂.
His glorious trophies he won in lifting weights. His Love of cars, especially Mustangs.
He talked about some of his road trips.
He would also tell me about water skiing behind his apartment.
He always loved speaking to his friends on the phone.
It was so awesome to make cookies for Tom. His favorite ones were my oatmeal cookies.
Tom you will be missed . Every time I watch Hogans Heroes., I will think of you.
May you RIP Tommy , may you ride in your Mustang in the sky forever.
Condolences and prayers to everyone in the family and friends of Tom and other Caregivers.

Tommy “Cat” Christopherson lived a life totally committed to his family and those he considered friends. Once a friend always a friend. He was always the first in line to give a helping hand to one in need and never expected anything in return. He was tireless in keeping physically fit lifting weight’s. Pound for pound he was one of the strongest—-his determination and will to exceed even his expectations were evident to all. RIP “Tom Cat”. Thanks for your friendship.
