Dear Betty and family,
I graduated from highschool (Dorchester High, 1953) with Charlie (this is what some of us called him back then). I was so sorry to hear of his death. I remember him being fun loving yet serious, a very good athlete, and a respectful person. Our class of 17 was small and we all knew each other and our families at that time. I didn't see Charlie again after we graduated, for which I am sorry. We had our 50th highschool reunion in 2003 and he was unable to come as his granddaughter was having surgery.
Patty Pribyl Owens called me last weekend and gave me information about this web site. I was pleased that she called me.
Please accept my deepest sympathy, I quite sure Charlie was a good family man. Keep his memory close to your heart.

Dear Pribyl Family
I just heard of Chuck's passing this last week and was sad to hear the news. Chuck and I were pals. He and I graduated the same year from Dorchester High, here in Nebraska. We played side by side on the football team and Chuck was a tough kid and a good football player.. A good deal of the time he would ride his bike to school. In the evening after football practice we would all be draging and Chuck would get on his bike and ride all the way home. We had a lot of laughs together. He was always fun to be around and I wish that I could have spent more time with him in our old years..I went into the Navy in Feb of 1954 and I think Chuck joined a short time after that. My ship was in drydock at Hunters Point near San Fransisco at Thanksgiving of 1956. and Chuck was stationed at Treasure Island with two other Saline County guys. I was married at the time and we were living on base at the ship yard in what I always called a grain bin. It was a quonset hut made into a duplex. Any somehow the four of us got together and spent Thanksgiving. My wife was sumwhat of a beginner cook but she fixed us a great meal that was sure a lot better than Navy chow..We had a lot of fun that day. The two other Saline county guys were Chick Slepitchka from Wilbur and Terry Boshka from Crete.
I was really looking forward to seeing Chuck in 2003 for our 50th class reunion but for some reason he could not come.
I know your family will miss him as I am sure he was a good husband, father, and grandfather.
God Bless you all...
