I am still in shock over this sad news. My sister and I played at Steve's house as children. His mom and mine were good friends. I met Dawn at the salon where she worked and introduced myself. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Sad.

How surprised & saddened I was to learn that Steve had passed on. My memory of him is always that of a smiling & happy guy who brightened the room when he entered. We were co-workers at my parents business, Burgans' Standard Service at Yorkhouse & Lewis and he was good friends with my younger siblings; Chris, Bonnie & Dia. Our condolences to his wife & family and hopes that the memories of good times shared will help to ease your pain.

I am so sorry and sad for your loss. I just saw Steve prior to your trip to the Keys. Steve used to plow my driveway and I enjoyed baking him banana breads. I am just shocked and will pray for Steve. May God comfort and give you strength.
Sincerely,
Karen Wolff

Words cannot express the sorrow that is felt by my brother and I hearing of Steve's passing. He was a childhood friend,a great coworker and by far the best operating engineer I know. We will miss him. We send our condolences to Dawn and the kids as they get thru these most difficult times. The Conn Family

To the Schaufel Family my Deepest Sympathy for your loss. Steve was a great guy, worked with him at Baker, and learned from him when he built his house to build my own. He will be missed.
