WALWORTH, WIS. - Harvey Nordmeyer was born May 2, 1941, in Arlington Heights, Ill., to Russell and Ethel (Hapke) Nordmeyer. He passed away on his 84th birthday, May 2, 2025, at Golden Years of Lake Geneva.
A proud plumber for many years, he became a staple of the Walworth community. He was an avid race fan (of course Dick Trickle was always #1), snowmobiler, camping, and anything else he could do with Mary Kay by his side.
Harvey is survived by his children, Ronald (Cindy) Nordmeyer and Barb (Richard Bender) Nordmeyer; seven granddaughters, Tyler Miller, Heather Nordmeyer, Sydney Bender, Sara Nordmeyer, Amanda Bender, Olivia Nordmeyer, and Alex Bender; sister, Arlene Vorpagel; close extended family, Jolene, Romero, and Smorg; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Kay Nordmeyer, whom he married on October 19, 1983, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walworth; his brother, Melvin (Nancy) Nordmeyer; and brother-in-law, James Walter Lee.
A Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, May 15th, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Toynton's Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth, and at Faith Evangelical Church on Friday, May 16th, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 420 Read St., Walworth, WI 53184, or the Walworth Food Pantry, C/O Immanuel United Church of Christ, 111 Fremont St., Walworth, WI 53184.
