Kathy Bodey Obituary

Kathy L. Bodey 1945-2012

A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Kathy L. Bodey will be held at 10 a.m. on Mon. July 2, 2012 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for Kathy will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Kathy was born on Feb. 2, 1945 at Las Animas, Colo. to Earl and Edna Eckert, Sr and passed away on June 26, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo. at the age of 67 with her family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Darla Adame, brother; Earl Eckert, Jr, sister; Betty McCaffery, niece; Linda Buhrle, father and mother-in-law; Marvin and Gladys Bodey.

Kathy is survived by her husband; Marvin Bodey of the family home in Lamar, children; Donna (Doyle, Jr) Gabbert of Lamar, Donald A. Lowe of Sterling, Colo., Lane (Shawnda) Bodey of Sea Graves, Texas and Darrell (Jonita) Bodey of Potwin, Kan. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Jered Lowe, Justin Lowe, Brandi Wettstien, Chad Jones, Bonnie Diaz and Candi (Sergio) Moreno, sixteen great-grandchildren, sisters; Jeannie Reyher of Winnipeg, Canada, Geneva Fenley of Grand Junction, Colo. and Beverly Eckert of Las Vegas, Nev. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prowers Medical Center Home Health either direct or in care of the funeral home office. Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
