James Marion Bodey Jr.

James Marion Bodey, Jr., 86, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. He was born on February 27, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana, where he resided all of his life.
Jim graduated from Anderson High School in 1957. He served his country in the United States Army.
He worked Guide Lamp Division of General Motors and retired after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the Hoosier Model T Club, liked to build miniature cars, attended several classic car shows, was an avid bike rider, and loved to spend time with his family and two dogs, Gracie and Abby.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Virita (Priest) Bodey; children, Allan (Donna) Bodey and Kendra (Coy) Porter; grandchildren, Cassandra Bodey, Alex Bodey, Devon Matthais, Izzy Porter, Hunter Porter, and Felicity Porter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lucille Bodey, Sr.; son, Craig Bodey.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:30 am Monday, January 6, 2025, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN followed by the service at 11:30 officiated by Edward Priest.
Burial will take place in the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
