Lola Griffith Obituary
LANCASTER: Lola Jean "Jeannie" Griffith, 71, made her home in Lancaster, Ohio with her cousin, Melverna C. Huey, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on January 22, 1943 in Clarksburg, WV.
She was a Christian by faith and a member of Amanda Senior Citizens Group, Bremen Senior Citizens Group, Friendly 60's, Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed her family and family activities. Her hobbies included collecting pocketbooks, jewelry and working on word find puzzle books.
Jeannie is survived by her special cousin, Melverna Huey of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Robert Griffith of Clarksburg, WV; several nieces and nephews, many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond I. and Mabel Hickman Griffith and brother, Raymond E. Griffith.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Terry Borah officiating. Caring Cremation® to follow. Friends may visit Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial to be held at a later date in New Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Jeannie,
I will always remember the times we shared, especially while growing up when I was young during the summers and holidays in Ohio. Whether it was hanging out with me during the summer days, going to bingo, the bandstand on Fridays, the Lancaster festival, your amazing salmon patties, you're cooking in general, your love and compassion, you telling me "you're cute". I will miss you. I love you! Love and peace always.
