Vincent (Vince) W. Bodiford 1962- 2025 Vincent W. Bodiford, 62, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died suddenly on February 10, 2025.
Vincent was born on September 4, 1962, to Jack Warren and Barbara Jane (Mavilia) Bodiford in Dallas, Texas. He was raised by his paternal aunt and uncle, John and Diane Tayloe, in Needles, California. There, he met his two greatest loves: his future wife, Jeanette (Sanders), and the newspaper business. Together, they helped him shape his remarkable career.
His journey in the newspaper industry began early, beginning at the Needles Desert Star and progressing in Southern California, Texas, Nebraska, Arizona, Colorado and Michigan. In 2019, Vince established The Cheyenne Post and moved to Cheyenne, where he became an active part of the community.
In 2020, he expanded his media experience to include the development and growth of Bridge Media, a broadcast company owned by Manoj Bhargava, the founder of the 5-Hour Energy Drink, where he served as CEO until his return to Cheyenne full-time as the publisher of the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.
Beyond his professional achievements, Vince had a passion for life. He loved trains, boats, planes, travel and especially automobiles. He shared this passion through his online automotive publication, The Weekend Drive. Vince actively participated in supporting and assisting in many local charity events wherever he and his family lived. His involvement in the local classic car charity event in Cheyenne, "Cars, Cigars, and Guitars," showcased his love for classic cars and his commitment to giving back to the community.
Vince loved sharing his zest for life with his family and friends. He enjoyed creating memorable experiences and embarking on great adventures with his children, grandchildren and friends. His goal was always to give them opportunities to grow and succeed.
Vince had two favorite sayings, known as "Vince-isms": "Dream big dreams" and "A rising tide raises all boats." He truly believed and lived by these words.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His kindness, generosity and unwavering dedication to his work and community touched the lives of many.
Vince is preceded in death by his granddaughter Kathryn.
Vince is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Bodiford, and their children, Monique and Alexander; his children Kimberly and Brandon, from a previous marriage; five cherished grandchildren; a beloved niece; his sister; three brothers; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his many revered friends.
Memorial services for Vincent will be on Monday, March 3 at 1:30 PM at the Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home, 222 Russell Avenue in Cheyenne. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a
charity of your choice in Vince's memory.
