Bernard Rothman

1925 - 2017

November 30, 1925 - November 15, 2017 Our beloved Bernie Honey passed away peacefully surrounded by his family November 15, 2017. Born in Brooklyn New York to William and Sylvia Rothman.  He met his life long sweetheart before being drafted in WWII where he received his purple heart and medal of honor. Married to his beautiful wife, Beatrice of 68 years. They danced through life first traveling to California for Medical School in 1951 only to make this their permanent home.  They enjoyed traveling the world, playing golf, dance lessons and beautiful friends and parties.  But mostly the weekly family gatherings and Shabbat dinners were a favorite. His hands of gold saved many lives as a surgeon as well as taught many medical students. Our hearts are forever broken as we lose the anchor of our family.  Papa we love you more then words could tell. He leaves behind his wife Beatrice, brother Ronald, children Karrie and Douglas, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren as well as many family, friends and colleagues. You are truly the wind beneath our wings.  On your journey to join your children Lauren and Andrew may you never forget us, as we will never forget you.
