My sincere Love and condolences go out to the Daud family. Chuck I first met 1979 as a maverick in the Rancheros Visitadores. As said before Chuck had a handshake of a man with a purpose. He was extremely involved in that particular organization and loved it as his son Tom does. He leaves more than just a legacy behind him,He was bigger than life and a hero to many. Godspeed Chuck It was an honor to have known you.I’ll see you across the river___

I had the pleasure of knowing Charlie for over 50 years. We met in the early 70’s at the La Canada toastmasters. He was an amazing man of wit and integrity. He was devoted to his friends and family and his love of horses. He was one of a kind and will be missed but not forgotten. Tom Higgins

What a nice man— and as everybody has posted he was a gentle giant. I always enjoyed my conversations with him— it was my privilege to coach his sons at Loyola High and never felt anything but support and backing during those many years. What a great family— my prayers and thoughts are with you.

We enjoyed a bit of the nectar of the Gods at Fitzsimmons club and
a few other places.
God Bless you and all.

Chuck was a warm, friendly man with a handshake for the ages. I had the pleasure of working with Chuck and his son Tom Doud in downtown LA. Chuck and Tom invited me to the Saddle & Sirloin Club for an early morning trail ride -i'll never forget it. Best horse I ever rode. He was optimistic, funny, and was a believer in me, when confidence in others was scarce. "Slip Madigan" he shouted, and we laughed. Rest in peace Chuck. All the best to the Doud Family, James Madigan

It's going to take 10 men, maybe 20 to fill up the void left in this man's passing. Being Reilly's high school friend meant that I was welcomed into the Doud's loving chaotic home often. With a massive hug and a "what's one more ? " attitude, "Mr. Doud" was a mountain (literally! ) of love and kindness and inclusivity. The world seems a little off kilter with him gone. May he rest in peace. It doesn't get any better than Charlie Doud. Love to Anne and the whole Doud clan. xoxo Melanie

I first met Chuck at Rancheros. Over the years, we had occasion to arm wrestle. . . it didn't last very long! He was a fine man and he will be missed.

What a guy. He was my Air training Officer at the USAFA in 1957. On the first day he called each of us into his office for a meet & greet. At the end of the conversation I saluted and backed out of the room, only to be stopped by a booming voice "Mr. Mason, I'm not the king!"
I remember being proud to have beaten him in a situp contest. Of course he had a big upper body, and I was a 150 pound geek, so I had an advantage, but I did beat him fair and square. I think he was proud of me.
Several years later he loaned me his MG to use while on temporary duty at Hamilton AFB near his home in the San Francisco area. I thought the world of him

Such fun memories growing up in La Canada Flintridge, attending St Bede and spending many family dinners and parties at the Doud family home. Chuck's smile warmed your heart! A terrific friend to my Mom and Dad who are now angels in heaven. Joanie is singing with Chuck and Don is probably talking about all the memories of coaching together or being stock brokers at the same firm. The Renier Family (Mike, Lisa, Karen, Terese and Mark) send our deepest sympathy, love and prayers during this time of sadness.

I can remember the first time I met Oso. He was a kind loving soul. You can feel the love. When Liz and My brother Toby got married it was a grand event. I can see him driving the horse and buggy bringing his beautiful daughter up the lane to be married, with his eyes full of tears of joy. My Dad and Oso were immediately connected like they knew each other all their lives. I knew my brother would be loved by Liz’s family dearly. You know “Oso” is walking the streets of gold in heaven. God takes the best you know. Anne I love you and sorry for your loss, but always remember he will be with you always. Also to all the Doud children and grandchildren, keep his memory alive, share your memories everyday! Love you all, Vivian

What a perfect obituary for an exceptional man. I feel so blessed to have known him and cherish my memories. I spent about half my childhood in the Doud household, welcomed like an extra kid, and learned so much about love and family from people who built an extraordinary life. Rest in peace, Charlie, and much love to your family.
