I'm late learning of the end of Georgie's life as we moved to the East Coast in the 1990's. I looked her up because of the fires and I know she lived in that area. Georgie had a profound influence on my family, helping me to bond with my three babies as a very young mother. It made all the difference in my life and in theirs. I am so grateful. Thank you Georgie! I'm sorry to hear that Margaret also passed away. I only met her a few times but she was fun, friendly and funny. She is gone too soon. My condolences to all the family on both losses.

Georgina was a very loving and relaxed person to be around and had a compassionate heart for those struggling through life's challenges. She will always be remembered as someone who reached out to her community and was a meeting place of healing and comfort to all those that contacted her. I pray that others will take up her call to be a beacon of hope in the struggles we all face. Being a servant was a priority to her. God bless all her therapists who she mentored over the years and who are now mirroring her kindness to others. I just miss her cheerful voice.

So sad to hear Georgie Rodger's passing. She was a mentor who insisted I get my license--and so glad I did--per her urgings. Georgie was smart, witty, gutsy and fiercely loving. I think of her often.

As a student of psychology in the area Georgiana was well known as a caring community minded therapist who made sure mental health needs were affordable to those in her community. Her kind and supportive and humorous manner made me love her. Our family gained much healing and insight from her therapists. Thank you, Georgiana for being you. Our condolenses to your family and co healers at the Rodiger Center. Mixture of sweets, drinks , puzzles and reading material were welcoming hospitality items that warmed our hearts and made us smile in the midst of our heaviness over our trials and tribulations of life. You cared. It showed. Miss your laugh. God bless Mary, Gene and. Patti. Carry on you guys.

To the Rodiger Family:

I met Georgie in 1984. Soon after, I began helping her with the Candle Lighter support groups and the Celestial celebrations we would hold for the families that had lost their little ones. . When you sit at the feet of someone with great wisdom, you long to take in every word. For me, George was such a presence. She became my mentor and friend. I have so many fond memories of Georgie, but most of all, she taught me how to be a still calm listener with clients, knowing that they are the teacher, and I am the student. Thirty-four years later, I now have my Pasadena clinical office in the same building Georgie would take me to listen to her mentor Dr. Warren Jones.
Thank you Georgie for the bright light you were to so many. Your spirit will always live in my heart.

Dr. Rodiger was on focus on the family perhaps sometime in the early 1990s. My mother saw the show while visiting her own mother, called Dr. Rodiger and was referred to Dr Laidlaw. What an incredible blessing! Not only did this therapeutic relationship transform my mother's life, but it all so powerfully affected my own. She had a special place in her heart for pastors that needed help with personal relationships. Dr. Rodiger made herself available to me for counsel and I am immensely grateful for her help in avoiding detrimental romantic relationships and guiding me to marriage with my precious wife. I seriously doubt whether I'd be married now had it not been for Dr. Rodiger. Marlan Knittel

It was a great blessing to me when I met Dr. Rodiger in 1991 at a women's retreat at El Camino Pines. Through the following years I continued to be blessed by her compassion and wise insights. Her legacy to me is summed up by her advice to Be kind, be kind, be kind. She changed my life for the better. Georgia Graves

Georgie and I served together at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Arcadia, she as minister, I as organist/choir director. More than that she was a friend to my whole family. I particularly remember that between Christmas Eve services, we service servants would all go out to eat. The Japanese restaurant was the only one open then. We had lovely sharing times.

It is difficult to imagine our world without her dedication, supportive nature, and love.
She will be greatly missed, even as our communication since I moved has been limited to the written word.

Peace and patience to all of us as we grieve her passing.
