Jane Wyatt Obituary

WYATT, Jane The Board of Trustees, staff, and volunteers of the March of Dimes mourn the passing of our esteemed volunteer Jane Wyatt, a past member of the National Board of Trustees. Jane had a remarkable record of service to our mission to save babies from birth defects, premature birth, and other causes of infant death and disability. Jane was a member of the Board from 1972 to 1984, and later served as an Honorary Trustee. She had been a volunteer for the March of Dimes since 1943 and served as the National Chair for Volunteer Services and National Chair of Mothers March. She traveled extensively throughout the country to enlist support for the March of Dimes fight against birth defects and made numerous public appearances on behalf of the March of Dimes. Jane's dedication and guidance were incalculable to our organization and she will be greatly missed. We send our deepest condolences to the entire family. James E. Sproull, Jr., Esq. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Jennifer L. Howse, Ph.D. President March of Dimes

As a young girl, I always loved watching Father Knows Best. Ms. Wyatt was beautiful and kind. I miss those shows although looking back they weren't very realistic! Thank you for those beautiful memories. God keep you safe in His arms.

I don't think I missed an episode of "Father Knows Best" when I was growing up. I am 58 years old now, and the news of Jane Wyatts' death saddened me. She certainly lived a long life and I am sure had many wonderful times, especially with her children, grand children, and great grandchildren. She was loved by many. I send condolences to her family for I know she will be missed.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family of beloved Jane Wyatt Ward....I very much share in your grief.
I am privileged to have called Jane my friend. We met back in the early 1980s at the USO Club in Hollywood where we were both volunteering. And we kept in touch after. Jane sent me the nicest card and letter upon the death of my father in l996. I cherish this.
I remember Jane giving me her feelings and thoughts after her friend and costar Robert Young died. And I remember Jane saying how very much she missed her mother after she passed away. My heart is heavy knowing Jane is no longer in this world, but what a beautiful gain for Heaven. Jane is now reunited with her husband Edgar and family. Jane was one of a kind in the Hollywood circles. A very kind, gentle, loving, unassuming lady. And the epitome of class. I always remember her fondly when I watch Lost Horizon and I grew up with Father Knows Best. Jane led a long, full life and leaves behind an incredible legacy.
She did so much good for the March of Dimes among other things. I have just sent them a check in Jane's memory. In closing I again express my deepest sympathy to Jane's famiily. It hurts us all to lose such a beautiful lady. Please know that Jane will remain in our hearts and thoughts always and that she will never, ever be forgotten. Jane has now entered into her Heavenly reward and I know she has a special place in Heaven. God bless her family with comfort and peace and carry on as Jane would want you to. With heartfelt sympathy, David Packer age 50
