Jerome Ettinger Obituary
Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, physician, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. Dr. Ettinger passed away on Wednesday, January 24, he was 87 years old. He was born in Indianapolis in 1919. He earned his medical degree from northwestern University in 1943. He completed his internship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in 1944. He joined the medical staff at Centinela Freeman Health System where he served as Chief of Surgery, Chief of the Medical Staff and on the Board of trustees. Dr. Ettinger was also Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCLA and Harbor UCLA and a President and current member of the Los Angeles Biomed Institute. He was an outstanding general surgeon compassionately caring for thousands of patients over the years. His family, friends, patients, and colleagues mourn his passing.
