Richard Liautaud Obituary

Richard James Liautaud passed away on March 7th, 2024, at the age of 78, after struggling with mental illness most of his adult life. In spite of this difficult life, Rick never lost his love of family or faith in God. Rick attended Our Lady of Loretto Grammar School, and Loyola High School, where he played on a football team that set a school record for two consecutive CIF championships, losing only one game in the three years he played, the CIF Championship game his senior year. After graduating Creighton University's Pharmacy School, he joined his two brothers in the family business, the Rosemont Drug Company. A few years later, he went on to Law School in Northern California. He completed one year before getting sick and returned home to be cared for by family. He was brother to Thomas Liautaud and Michael Liautaud (Deceased), Uncle to Joanne Liautaud, Jimmy Liautaud, Katie Liska, David Liautaud, Joan Liautaud, Julie Minck, Jennifer Fox, Jackie O'Neil, brother-in-law to Margaret Liautaud and Lori Liautaud. Rick had a son, Richard James Liautaud II by Teresa Regalado, who cared for him for many years.
