This popped up as a reminder in my email..... can't believe it has almost been 8 years. I also can't believe that he passed before Dorothy Barrett-- she died in March 2018-- at 101 yrs old. Sure do miss getting to do acting scenes with Bob-- like All about Eve- or Mary Mary -- or Luv. Oh so many good memories.... Hope that his family is doing well.

I just came across this last night. I met Bob at the American National Academy of Performing arts when about 46 years ago. I was in Francis Lederer's Acting class-- Bob was a long-time student there and he also taught Acting there as well. I was so happy when he got married to Louise--He seemed so happy. We lost touch, I was unable to reach him for many years and we missed having him at our various events at the school. When Dorothy Barrett passed in March of 2018, I tried to reach him again to no avail. I started watching Shameless not too long ago and saw him on that. I am so sad that I never got to say goodbye. He was so much a part of our Academy Family. He was wonderful to work with in scenes and I was blessed to have the opportunity to act with him. I don't know how he passed, but I do know that he impacted many actors by his presence and we were all inspired by his work. I remember in Francis' class one time he was doing "Friends Romans Countrymen" from Julius Casesar--- He stopped after the first part of the monologue and said, "I really just want to do this... he continued on with "lend me your ears" and he pretended to hold out a bag to collect the ears..... every time from that moment forward that I heard that monologue I did that in my mind.... Prayers to his family- I met some of them, knew Maurice for awhile through other friends, his niece Jo E, Sutton came to class for awhile. I certainly miss him.

I just heard of Bob's passing this evening. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I so enjoyed knowing him and performing scenes with him in our acting class. He was such a wonderful person and actor. My condolences to his family.

My condolences to Bob's family and friends on his passing. Yeah, he had a tough guy look that served him well, as an actor, but he was a gentle soul. A good man that I got to know years ago, while working at The Hollywood YMCA. Always enjoyed our conversations and on occasion playing a game of racquetball (although handball was truly his sport) Great competitor, he was. Rest In Peace, Bobby...
