Dear Family of Shelley--Though I don't know you, I send you my sincere thoughts and condolences. When the obituary read short battle with pancreatic cancer, it was all I could do to keep from weeping over your loss. My husband of 47 years went to be with Jesus 6/2007--our oldest daughter joined him in Heaven April 25,2010---both of pancreatic cancer. Know that, though your hearts are filled with pain, Shelley is no longer suffering--if she liked to dance, she is now dancing with Jesus.!!! Sincerely, Dixie Price Anaheim, CA

What I will remember best is Shelley's smile, her beauty, her wit and intelligence, her fierce sense of justice and integrity, but most of all I will remember her care for every living thing. She created beauty around her by the sheer force of her quiet determination, her insistence on putting people first, and her open, giving heart. She was my dearest friend and I will miss her always. Rest in peace, Shelley, and know that your husband and your sons will honor your memory as will all of us whose lives have been enriched by your love.

You were a member of our family even before the children were born and they grew up calling you Aunt Shelley and meaning it. You were there for birthdays, holidays, celebrations, graduations, weddings, parties. You were there for some sad times, too, because you were family. We all called you for advice, for counsel, for laughter. We all flew many miles to manage to be together as often as our two coasts would allow.
Our lives are diminished without you. We will love you and will cherish our time together forever.

Although we had never met Shelley we have always heard how wonderful and loved she was by her family. Our Lord has now taken Shelley home...she is free of all pain forever. We pray that as you celebrate Shelley's life, you will find peace, understanding and guidance from your faith. May the grace of God keep you with the Aloha Spirit.

I am so sorry about your loss of Shelley. I lost my daughter Lisa, last year at age 54 also after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. I know the agony you are going through now. You have my sincere sympathy. Again, I am so sorry.

The few times I saw Shelley, she was very fun to be around; she had a very 'bubbly" personality. She was my parents' neighbor and close friend for many years and will definitely be missed and remembered. She was also very good to my nephew, Chance. I'm glad she is no longer suffering though. R.I.P. Shelley.

I am in a state of shock! Shelley, when you left my classroom, you always had a seat in my heart...You, Renee, Kathy, Jeanne and Laurel were walking, talking definitions of FRIENDSHIP..Love never dies, people die but Love remains and goes with the Soul...In many ways you were 'my' teacher...your joy and love of life were constant gifts in my life for 45 years...I am reminded when Henry David Thoreau was on his death bed, his aunt asked, "Henry, have you made your peace with God?" To which Henry replied, "Auntie, we never quareled"
And I know thatHe and you are celebrating your new life together...
God Love Ya, Dear Heart and I DO TOO..

I wish I had known so that I could have visited you and prayed for you. I am so shocked and sad to lose you. You are a true GEM. Now I am looking forward to spending eternity with you in Heaven - where there is no pain, no time, no sadness, no sickness, no evil. Safe in the arms of Jesus - my dear, sweet Shelley. You are greatly missed and greatly loved. - Your friend from Sycamore and Katella,

Shelley your were a model in every sense. A beauty with brains, heart, grace and limitless generosity and compassion for everyone whose life you touched. We feel so blessed to have had you for a friend for twenty-four years. We are so sad that your journey here has ended but know that you, in your always hospitable way, will be helping to set a place for us all at the Lord's table for when the day comes for all your family and friends to join you at His side. Until then, we will hold you and all you love in our prayers. We love you so much. Jayne, Kevin, Eric, our angel Meryl and Dana Staley
